South Carolina Teacher Loan Program

The SC Teachers Loan Program encourages South Carolina residents to enter the teaching profession by providing loans to help with college expenses for up to $5,000 per year with a $20,000 maximum. These loans are later canceled by teaching in South Carolina public schools in a geographic area or subject of critical need. Each year you teach, your loans will be cancelled at a rate of 20-33% per year.
