South Carolina Career Changers Loan Program

The SC Career Changers Loan Program encourages South Carolina residents who have had a BA and have worked for at least three years to enter the teaching profession by providing loans to help with teacher education for up to $15,000 per year with a $60,000 maximum. These loans are later canceled by teaching in South Carolina public schools in a geographic area or subject of critical need. Each year you teach, your loans will be cancelled at a rate of 20-33% per year.
